Women Empowerment

RUWDEC recognizes that there are several issues that specifically affect the well-being of women. Females comprise over 52% of the population, yet are often under-represented, undereducated, and vulnerable. RUWDEC promotes women’s economic empowerment by encouraging their participation in its self-help programs. Women are given the opportunity to improve their wellbeing and increase participation in local decision making within their communities through active participation and dignity of working hard.  RUWDEC aims to empower women by providing a way for them to empower themselves and take action to improve their own social, economic, and political condition.

This is done through providing agricultural information for improved food production, Income generating activities, training on management skills, gender, small business management skills, group dynamics, project planning and management, financial management and advocacy
